Introduction to Zero-Knowledge

A zero-knowledge proof allows a prover to convince a verifier that a statement is true without revealing any additional information. The classic analogy: imagine a cave with two paths that meet in the middle, separated by a locked door. You can prove you know the password by consistently exiting from whichever side the verifier requests, without ever showing them the password. In blockchain, ZK proofs enable: privacy (prove you have enough balance without revealing the amount) and scalability (prove thousands of transactions are valid without re-executing them).
