Upgrade to ProFlashbots created the MEV supply chain: Searchers find MEV opportunities and submit bundles (ordered transactions). Builders construct optimal blocks from bundles. Proposers (validators) select the most profitable block. This system (Proposer-Builder Separation, or PBS) separates MEV extraction from block production, reducing centralization pressure on validators. MEV-Boost allows validators to outsource block building to a competitive market of builders. The result: validators earn MEV without running complex strategies.
